A fair warning (2nd Apr 09 at 1:35pm UTC)
About a month ago I posted this thread.

I'm afraid that waiting it out just doesn't seem to be working. Just this morning I got the following message from my hosting provider:

Quote:
Dear Sir/Madam,

It has come to our attention your hosting account random-image.net was over utilizing network connections. We have reduce your network connections to 100 in order to ensure the overall health of the server. Additionally, it appears that your random-image.net hosting may have out grown the shared hosting environment. You may want to look into moving to a Virtual Dedicated or Dedicated server.

Please note, continued over-utilization of the shared resources of the server,
we reserve the right to suspend the account to ensure the overall
health of the server
. If you have questions about this matter, you may
contact us by replying to this email or by calling 480-505-8871.

Please contact us if you have any further issues.

We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Regards,

Mike M.

Remember guys, this is your service. And it is the only thing located on this hosting account. What happens to it is now your decision. I'm doing my best.

Jason,

I love your service so much, and wish badly I had money to donate. You know I've been doing what I can.

I really hope nothing bad happens, Image Randomizers is the best.

Always give an honest opinion. Even if it annoys somebody else.

If it's a problem dealing with the amount of images, why not put a limit on how many images a person can have in a single randomizer?

There already is a limit, but it depends on the img's URL.

Quote:
It depends on your image URL length. Seriously. All of the URLs in a randomizer must fit in a single field of the database and that field has a limit of 65535 characters.

Quoted from FAQS.

It has nothing to do with the amount of images. The problem deals with the number of simultaneous connections to the server (# people accessing the site or a randomizer at a particular moment). There's actually plenty of space & bandwidth.
